Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced MQS to join a growing civil engineering business based in Warrington.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to progress their career and take on greater responsibility. The successful candidate will initially play a key role within the existing commercial function, with the longer-term opportunity to build and develop a team around them as the business continues to grow.

The company is currently busy and has a strong pipeline of opportunities, including AMP 8 and Highways works. They are looking to strengthen their presence across the North West and need a senior, locally based commercial professional who can help drive this growth.

The role will be primarily based from the Warrington office, with site visits required. Hybrid working can be accommodated for the right candidate.

Key Requirements:

Experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, Managing Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager
*

Strong background within civil engineering
*

Experience across any civils sector will be considered
*

Experience in highways, utilities, infrastructure, water or similar would be advantageous
*

Strong commercial and contractual understanding
*

Ambitious and looking to progress their career
*

Comfortable taking ownership and working with senior management
*

Based in, or within a commutable distance of, the North West
*

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Supporting and managing tenders and pre-construction activities

Commercial management from tender through to final account

Cost control, forecasting and reporting

Contract administration and commercial risk management
