M&E Project Engineer - Electrical Bias

Location: West Yorkshire
Salary: £50,000-£65,000 per annum + package, depending on experience

We are currently recruiting for an experienced M&E Project Engineer with a strong electrical background to join a growing M&E business in West Yorkshire.

This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced engineer who is comfortable taking ownership of projects from start to finish and has a strong understanding of electrical and wider M&E project delivery.

The Role

As an M&E Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing projects through the full lifecycle, working closely with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

Reviewing and re-evaluating projects against initial estimates
*

Procuring materials and managing the buying process
*

Developing and maintaining project programmes
*

Overseeing site delivery, ensuring quality and efficiency
*

Managing health and safety compliance
*

Preparing valuations and managing variations, including pricing
*

Managing projects through to final account and handover
*

Supporting the estimating function during busy periods where required
*

Taking ownership of project delivery from commencement through to completion

About You

The successful candidate will have:

A strong electrical background with a good understanding of full M&E delivery

Previous experience delivering M&E projects within the construction or building services sector
*

Proven experience managing projects from start to finish
*

Strong commercial awareness, including valuations and variations
*

Good procurement and project programming experience
*

Excellent organisational and communication skills
*

A proactive approach with the ability to take ownership and work independently
