Site Engineer - Highways & Civil Engineering

Location: Yorkshire | Permanent

We are looking for a Site Engineer to join an ambitious and growing civil engineering contractor, delivering a range of highways and infrastructure projects across Yorkshire.

Experience working on highways projects for local authorities or councils is essential. We are specifically looking for contractor-side experience, with a good understanding of the standards and requirements involved in delivering public sector infrastructure works.

Experience solely within housebuilding or client-side roles is unlikely to be suitable.

Project Experience

Schemes include:

Highway improvements and public realm works.
*

Deep drainage and culverts.
*

Section 278 (S278) works.
*

Car parks and concrete lay-down areas.
*

Cycleways and active travel schemes.
*

New bridges and bridge refurbishments.
*

Piling and retaining walls.
*

Resurfacing, anti-skid and road lining.
*

Flood defence and school infrastructure.

About You

*

Ideally 3-5 years' UK Site Engineering experience.
*

Strong highways and local authority project background.
*

Contractor-side civil engineering experience.
*

Knowledge of setting out, surveying and QA.
*

Motivated to develop and progress within a growing business.
*

Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
*

Flexible to travel across Yorkshire.
