We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join an established construction contractor on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded construction professional to take ownership of the estimating and tendering process, helping secure new projects across a varied portfolio of construction and refurbishment works.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates and tender submissions.
* Review construction drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
* Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
* Identify commercial risks, cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions.
* Liaise with clients, consultants and internal teams throughout the tender process.
* Support tender negotiations and ensure a smooth handover to project delivery teams.

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Senior Estimator or in a similar construction estimating role.
* Strong knowledge of construction and refurbishment projects.
* Excellent commercial awareness, analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Strong negotiation and communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet deadlines.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant estimating software.
* Full UK driving licence.
